REGENCY / VICTORIAN PERIOD EXQUISITELY FURNISHED DOLLS HOUSE FOR SALE
Type: HAND BUILT
Style: REGENCY + VICTORIAN
Asking Price: £1295
This stunning dollshouse in Regency and Victorian period detail has been lovingly created over two decades and featured on the front cover of Dollshouse World issue no. 215 dated August 2010 with a six page article and a follow up in no. 216 with a further 3 page article. It has been named Halsey Hall.Furthermore a detailed booklet has been written by its creators (Fiona and Bryan Halsey) giving its history and bringing to life stories about the characters featured in it. In addition to the scores of hours spent creating this house, it would cost in excess of £1,800 today to build and furnish it in such detail. The photographs below only give a glimpse of the detail that its creators have gone to and it has to be seen close up to be fully appreciated. In the nursery there is a dollshouse that is an exact scale model replica of Halsey Hall but with a more authentic grey slate roof. The washing sets are all porcelain. In the grand hall and library there is a piano which is a fully-working clock-work music box (it plays Fur Elise) by Beethoven. The pillar was marbled with a sponge dipped in varnish and dabbed lightly on the cream emulsion base. The grandfather clock is a working clock. In the bookshelf there are 48 bound books each with 80 blank pages (nearly 4,000 pages waiting to be filled). I could go on and on as there are so many exquisite pieces in all the rooms, but it is best if you are interested in buying this incredible dollhouse that you contact me to arrange a viewing or request more photographs.
